UPDATE 3: At this time our thoughts are with the 5 lives lost in the incident, 1 of those being the much loved chairman of Leicester. The pilots who also sadly passed away were a couple and both highly experienced helicopter pilots and experience of flying private jets. It's believed that the pilots were hero's after they flew the helicopter away from the stadium, after realising there was an issue, and consequently saving 100's of lives.

The air accident teams are investigating as we speak therefore we still don't know the cause of the crash, However today has seen hundreds of tributes being left outside the Foxes stadium from players, fans and the chairman's grieving son and wife.

UPDATE 2 it's been confirmed that Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was inside the helicopter as it fell to the ground after the rear rotor issue. Fans and local residents have been leaving tributes outside the stadium today after hearing the sad news.

UPDATE 1 Following last night's tragedy which took place at the King Power Stadium here is what we know so far.

The Helicopter took off from the main pitch shortly after the final whistle and It's believed that, shortly after take off, the helicopter came into difficulties and was out of control. Many eye witnesses report there was something wrong with the tail rotor.

This being said it's still not confirmed what caused the owner's helicopter to crash in the staff car park. Also at this time we don't know how many have been involved in the incident.

We're sending our best wishes to Leicester City Football Club and all involved at this difficult time.
