Horror as SAF Helicopter crashes leaving government officials dead.

The Helicopter pictured above was landing in the Al-Qadarif State. However whilst attempting to land the helicopter struck a Communication Tower.

The helicopter was on a tour of the province. This crash isn't the first for Sudans Military. The crash left 7 dead and many injured. The fatalities included Al-Qadarif Governor, as well as his Cabinet Chief Mirghani Saleh. Also among the dead was the countries minister of Agriculture and the Local police chief lost his life.
A investigation is underway. Fingers are being pointed at the government for poor maintenance of a ageing fleet. Most of the fleet is Soviet Built. Other recent SAF crashes suggest technical problems have caused them to encounter unusual aircraft behavior, Especially in bad weather.
