Virgin Atlantic are rumoured to have begun talks with struggling airline, Flybe.

Virgin Atlantic is partly owned by Sir Richard Branson. The rumours have shocked the aviation world after Virgin's previous fail in the domestic UK market.

Just 4 years after the closure of Little Red, virgin are attempting a take over bid of Flybe. What would this mean for you? As Virgin Atlantic fly transatlantic it's thought they would use this to connect all passenger traffic into the Long haul network. Plus many people have missed the key facts that Flybe hold valuable landing and take off slots at LHR (Those slots have to remain domestic).

Could this save Flybe? Personally this seems like a great deal for both parties. Sources from sky news suggest no jobs would be lost with the takeover. So will we say bye bye to Flybe and hello to Virgin...well time will tell.

The aviation community has lost big names like Monarch and Primera Air in recent years therefore a takeover is better than a full loss. It's not been confirmed if Stobart Group have bidded for the airline.
